'Let's Begin' Keyboard Fun Level D (PDF Download)

Let’s Begin Keyboard Fun is a recreational program developing functional musicianship skills such as realizing a lead sheet, transposing and improvising. Collaborating and jamming in any session from garage bands, to church, to accompanying situations and general performance are fun and rewarding – especially when basic keyboard skills are developed.

Keyboarding skills assist students in anticipating sound, playing by ear, memorizing and performing. Traditional music programs are also enhanced through the development of these skills. Let’s Begin Keyboard Fun Level D includes appealing lead sheets using I, IV, V and V7 chords in C and G major in simplified styles. Lead sheets written in C major expand beyond the pentascale, while the G major lead sheets are largely written in the G pentascale. All lead sheets are transposed to the keys of C, F and G major for exercise. And simple improvisation is developed in various styles, moods and keys. All are supported with general information, great visuals, check lists and instructions.
